Community rules

Short version: be the kind of owner you'd want to meet at a car park.

1. Be decent

Disagree with ideas, not people. No abuse, harassment, discrimination or pile-ons. Remember there's a person behind every post — and often a new owner who's just worried about their car.

2. Your experience is not official advice

Share what happened to you and what worked. Don't present it as fact for everyone. Safety-critical matters (brakes, airbags, high-voltage systems, recalls) belong with a JAECOO dealer — we link to the official recall list and verified guides everywhere for a reason. Moderators may add a note to posts that could be read as instructions.

3. No selling, spam or sock puppets

No adverts, affiliate links, referral codes or promoting your business unless a moderator has agreed it. One account per person. Dealers and trade members are welcome if they say who they are.

4. Privacy

Don't post other people's names, number plates, addresses, phone numbers or private messages. Blur plates in photos of cars that aren't yours. Never post your VIN or full registration — nobody here needs it.

5. Keep it on topic and searchable

Pick the right category, write a clear title (“E5 losing 10% overnight in cold weather” beats “Help!!”), and if your question gets answered, mark the reply as the solution so the next owner finds it.

6. Photos and content you post

Only upload photos you took or have permission to use. By posting you let us show your content on this site; you keep the copyright. We don't use manufacturer press images and neither should you.

7. Reporting and moderation

Every post has a Report link. Moderators can hide, edit, lock or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules; important actions are logged. If you think a decision was wrong, use the contact form.

8. Independence

This club is run by owners and is not affiliated with JAECOO, OMODA&JAECOO UK Ltd or any dealer. Nothing here is endorsed by the manufacturer.
