Checks before you drive

A quick routine before setting off

Run through this routine each time before you drive off.

  1. 1Check around the car before you get in.
  2. 2Adjust the seat position, backrest angle, head restraint height and steering wheel angle.
  3. 3Adjust the inside and outside mirrors.
  4. 4Switch off any lights and electrical equipment you don't need.
  5. 5Fasten your seat belt (and make sure passengers do too).
  6. 6Make sure the parking brake is applied.
  7. 7Put the gear selector in P.
  8. 8Switch the car to ON and check the warning and indicator lights on the cluster behave normally. If anything looks wrong, contact an authorised Jaecoo service centre straight away.

  6. 6With the car powered on, check the warning and indicator lights on the cluster behave normally. If anything looks wrong, contact an authorised Jaecoo service centre straight away.
  7. 7Carry the smart key with you (or have it in the car) and press the brake pedal to start the car. The green READY indicator stays on.
