Turning off the engine

Stopping the engine normally

  1. 1Stop the car and apply the parking brake.
  2. 2Put the gear selector in P.
  3. 3Press the ENGINE START STOP switch.
  4. 4Check that the engine has stopped.

Caution:Don't press the accelerator just before switching the engine off.

Caution:After a long run at high speed the engine is very hot. Don't switch off straight away – let it idle for a few minutes to cool down first, or the engine may be damaged.
