1 DVSA recall

A model recall is not confirmation that your car is affected

Recalls cover specific batches identified by VIN. We list what DVSA publishes; we cannot tell you whether your individual vehicle is included. Check on the official GOV.UK recall checker, or contact an OMODA & JAECOO retailer with your VIN. Recall work is free of charge. If a recall warns of a risk while driving and a warning light appears, stop when safe and seek advice.

Jaecoo 7 ICE (T1EJ) — Wiring Harness Interference Issue

Government source

Reason for recall (DVSA)

We have recently identified an issue concerning the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) wiring harness clip in a specific batch of vehicles. Our investigation found that the ECU harness clip was not fully engaged during the assembly process. The incomplete engagement of the ECU harness clip may lead to engine warning light and an unexpected engine stall while the vehicle is in motion thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

How the manufacturer will repair (DVSA)

For vehicles within the risk scope a recall will be initiated and provide free inspection and repair for all affected vehicles. The solution includes checking and ensuring the correct installation of the harness fastener and replacing any worn harness if necessary.
