Over time, insects, leaves and debris can block the front of the radiator and A/C condenser. This can make the air conditioning work poorly and the engine overheat.
Cleaning
- Condenser: with the engine off and cool, blow compressed air from the back to the front, through the radiator.
- Radiator: clean it once a year. With the engine off and cool, use compressed air or water to clear insects and leaves from the fins.
- Keep air or water pressure at 150 kPa or less, or you may bend the fins.
Warning:Never spray water on a hot radiator. The steam can injure you. Only clean it when the engine is off and cool.
Caution:Do not brush the radiator fins. You can damage them and reduce cooling.
